Traditional links golf, tranquillity, solitude and outstanding natural beauty - the Highlands of Scotland provides some of the best championship golf courses in the country, to suit every budget and every ability. www.golfhighland.com The Grantown Try-Tri on Sunday 2 September 2007 is an opportunity to try out this sport in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Located in the Cairngorms National Park, the Grantown Try-Tri allows individuals and teams of all ages and fitness to participate in the sport. Combined with the Motor Mania Day and Cairngorms Farmers’ Market, it is a great day out for friends and family too. The distances are not too far – a pool swim of 300m, bike ride (road bike or mountain bike) of 14km (this is a bit hilly) and a flat run through the town and woods of just 4.5 km.
This year the Try Tri is particularly keen to hear from community and business groups who wish to enter as a team. So if you feel that the race is too much for just one person – enter as a team of 3 with one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner. Most of all, participants should enter to have fun!
This year the committee have produced a website with the assistance of local funding so to find out more information as well as enter online see www.try-tri.co.uk or call 01479 872061.
